About Russo Law

Richard Russo is one of the firm’s founding partners, focusing entirely on personal injury litigation. Through his tireless work ethic, creativity, and keen understanding of the unique medical issues presented by each case, he has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of those injured in accidents caused by the carelessness of third-parties. A skilled trial attorney, Richard was recognized for achieving one of New York State’s highest jury verdicts in a motor vehicle accident case in New York Verdict Search’s "Top Verdicts and Settlements of 2016." He was named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers in 2019, 2020, and in 2021. In 2020 and 2021 he was selected as one of The National Trial Lawyers "Top 40 Under 40."

Matthew graduated from the State University of New York at Albany prior to earning his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. Prior to joining forces with his brother to form Russo Law LLP, Matthew began his legal career at an established civil litigation and transactional real estate law firm where he represented various commercial and individual clients in a wide range of complex legal disputes. Matthew has successfully argued before the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department. In 2021 he was named a "Lawyer of the Year" by The American Institute of Legal Professionals and named the "Best Trial Lawyer in America" by the National Institute of Trial Lawyers.
